EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern University Student-Athlete Advisory Board, with the help of Kraft Foods, will sponsor a canned food drive Saturday in conjunction with the Northwestern-Illinois football game at Ryan Field.

As such, the Board is asking all fans -- Northwestern AND Illinois -- to bring canned and non-perishable foods to the game, where they can drop them off in boxes that will be located at the various entryways around Ryan Field.

The canned food will be brought to Family Focus, a non-profit center located in Evanston that is geared toward helping diverse families -- traditional families, teenage parents, and immigrant families -- make better lives for themselves. The Center provides workshops for new parents, parent-child activities, after-school programs for children, and "come as youare" drop-in times for the whole family.

Kickoff between Northwestern and Illinois will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
