CHICAGO -- Northwestern's unforgettable 1995 Big Ten championship run and its ensuing trip to the Rose Bowl will be the subject of this week's episode of "Big Ten Elite," a Big Ten Network original series profiling many of the most memorable seasons in Big Ten football history.

The one-hour program is set to debut at 7 p.m. CT Tuesday on Big Ten Network and re-air later that evening at 9 p.m. CT. An encore presentation can be seen the following night, Wednesday, at 9 p.m. CT.

The in-depth look at the legendary 1995 Northwestern football season includes interviews with many of the key figures from the squad, including then-head coach Gary Barnett and star players such as LB Pat Fitzgerald, QB Steve Schnur, RB Darnell Autry, WR D'Wayne Bates, CB Chris Martin and PK Sam Valenzisi. The subjects share details of Northwestern's week-by-week rise to national stardom, which began with a season-opening upset of Notre Dame and continued through their appearances on "The Tonight Show" and in the 1996 Rose Bowl against Southern Cal.
