EVANSTON, Ill. -- Former Northwestern star and seven-year NFL veteran Jason Wright will join head coach Pat Fitzgerald at the September 28 Northwestern Gridiron Network (NGN) luncheon at Haray Caray's in downtown Chicago.

Wright, who had consecutive 1,000 yard seasons in 2002-03 for NU, opted out of the NFL to go back to school and is earning his MBA at the University of Chicago's Booth School. He spent his NFL career with the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals.

The luncheon will be held at Harry Caray's restaurant, 33 W. Kinzie in Chicago. Check-in is at 11:30 a.m. with lunch to follow at noon. The luncheons are open to the public but reservations should be made. Cost of the luncheon is $35 per person. To learn more contact Jean Yale at j-yale@northwestern.edu.

The NGN is the major support group for Northwestern football, raising funds for practice fields, player post graduate development and renovation of facilities for players and coaches.
