EVANSTON, Ill. -- One year after being named a semifinalist for the honor, Northwestern senior Stefan Demos (Scottsdale, Ariz./Horizon) is one of 30 members on the watch list for the 2010 Lou Groza Award, given annually to the nation's top place-kicker by the Orange Bowl Committee.

Demos earned second-team All-Big Ten honors in 2009 after making 18-of-25 field goals and scoring 88 total points for the Wildcats. He is one of 15 returning Lou Groza semifinalists to earn a spot on the watch list in 2010.

Accomplishments are tabulated throughout the season and the Lou Groza Award announces its 20 semifinalists on Friday, Oct. 29. From that list, a panel of more than 300 experts will select the top three finalists by Monday, Nov. 22. That same group then selects the national winner, which will be announced Thursday, Dec. 9, during the Home Depot ESPNU College Football Award Show.
