EVANSTON, Ill. -- One day after revealing that its season-opening game at Vanderbilt would kick off under the lights, Northwestern's Sept. 18 game at Rice University also will start in the evening, this one at 6 p.m. CT at Rice Stadium. The announcement was made this afternoon by Rice and Conference USA.

No television coverage is planned, but Rice's athletics department will stream the game on its Owlvision All-Access platform.

With this news, the Wildcats are now playing three night games in 2010.
