Walker Open and NGN Sponsorship Opportunities | Chicago Highlands Golf Club
EVANSTON, Ill. -- There has never been a better time to become a member of the Northwestern Gridiron Network as the official support group of Northwestern Football prepares to host the 2013 Walker Open golf outing presented by Cadillac. The event, open only to NGN members, is set for Monday, July 29, at Chicago Highlands Golf Club in suburban Westchester.
Each foursome at this year's Walker Open will feature a randomly assigned celebrity from a group that includes ESPN's Michael Wilbon, NBA commentator Craig Sager, WGN broadcast partners Dave Eanet and Ted Albrecht and Northwestern Football favorites Luis Castillo, Noah Herron, Trai Essex, Dan Persa, Damien Anderson, current coaches and more.
The day begins with open practice time at 10 a.m. followed by a golf clinic with Northwestern golf coach and 2012 PGA Teach of the Year Pat Goss. After lunch, it will be time to hit the links with a shotgun tee time start and a scramble format. The round will be followed by a 6 p.m. reception and dinner with remarks by head coach Pat Fitzgerald, raffle prizes and a silent auction.
Registration fees for the entire day's activities are set at $450 before July 8 and $500 thereafter, or $50 to join for dinner and reception only. Space is limited for participants and open to NGN members and their guests.
The Walker Open also offers 18 opportunities for hole sponsorship, including signage on a hole at the Chicago Highlands Golf Club, inclusion in social media and email blasts promoting the event and corporate logos on select NGN signage at the event. Interested individuals should contact Suzie Burg (email@example.com) for more information on becoming a hole sponsor for the 2013 Walker Open.
