EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's Sept. 15 nonconference home game versus Duke University is one of five contests that will be televised in primetime by the league's new Big Ten Network.

The contest will kick off at 7 p.m. CDT at Ryan Field. The Big Ten also announced that contests between Indiana State at Indiana (Sept. 1), Syracuse at Iowa (Sept. 8), Indiana at Michigan State (Oct. 13) and Illinois at Minnesota (Nov. 3) would be aired in the Saturday evening primetime slot on the Big Ten Network.

"These five primetime games demonstrate the ability of the Big Ten Network to air compelling programming on a national stage," said Big Ten Network President Mark Silverman. "Not only will Big Ten fans be able to see the games nationally, but they will enjoy in-depth analysis from the first network to be dedicated solely to the Big Ten."

"There's a special atmosphere at Ryan Field for evening games," said Northwestern Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald. "We're looking forward to working with the Big Ten Network to showcase a great evening of football at Northwestern."

This is the second announced night game for the Wildcats. Earlier this month, Northwestern announced that its nonconference game vs. Eastern Michigan, which will be played in Detroit at Ford Field, will kick off at 6 p.m. CDT on Friday, Oct. 19.

Kickoff times and television arrangeements for Northwestern's eight Big Ten games and its two other nonconference home games (Sept. 1 vs. Northeastern and Sept. 8 vs. Nevada) will be announced at a later date.
