EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern completed its second day of spring practice under cloudy skies, but still above-average temperatures Tuesday morning at NU's outdoor turf facility. Although pads don't come on until the weekend, the Wildcats ran through more than two hours of drills and instruction.

The Wildcats are conducting their 11 weekday practices at 7:25 a.m. this year. Northwestern's three Saturday practices begin at 9:15 a.m. with the Spring Game slated for a noon start on April 21.

After practice, offensive coordinator Garrick McGee talked with NUSports.com All-Access about the status of his offensive unit this spring. McGee discussed filling the void left by the graduation of Shaun Herbert, the leader of the wide receiving corps, the improvement of NU's starting running back, Tyrell Sutton (Akron, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban), and several other topics.
