EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald and his staff have announced plans for a pair of one-day coaching clinics on Friday and Saturday, March 8-9, hosted on the campus of Northwestern University and open to coaches at all levels of youth football.
The Wildcats will stage their annual Coaches Clinic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 8. Through a series of position-specific Buzz Sessions, attendees will gain insight into key positional drills and technique from all nine Northwestern assistant coaches as well as Football Performance coaches Jay Hooten, Allan Johnson and Troy Sutton.
On Saturday, March 9, Director of Football Performance Jay Hooten
will host the Northwestern Football Performance Clinic, where participants will learn from top professionals on topics ranging from offseason strength and conditioning programs, speed training, teambuilding and injury prevention.
Combined registration fee for both clinics is $85 per coach, or $50 for the Coaches Clinic with advanced registration ($60 walk-ins) and $45 per coach for the Football Performance Clinic ($55 walk-ins). Complete pricing and clinic agendas can be found in the clinic registration brochure.

Northwestern is coming off a 2012 campaign in which it capped a 10-3 season with a victory over Mississippi State in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl on New Year's Day. The Wildcats garnered a No. 16 year-end national ranking in the USA Today Coaches Poll, their highest final ranking in the Pat Fitzgerald era.
