    2014 Reese's Senior Bowl Information

MOBILE, Ala. -- Northwestern senior Kain Colter will perform on the big stage of the 2014 Reese's Senior Bowl Saturday (Jan. 25), looking to demonstrate his ability at wide receiver for dozens of NFL scouts in attendance at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

The 2014 edition of the Senior Bowl -- the nation's premier showcase of college football talent since 1950 -- will kick off at 3 p.m. CT and be carried to a national TV audience on the NFL Network.

Colter, one 15 Big Ten seniors competing for the North squad, will wear No. 22 in the game and line up at wide receiver after a Northwestern career in which he excelled as a quarterback, wideout and running back. He caught 63 passes in his career -- ranking third on the team with 43 as a sophomore in 2011 -- for a total of 683 yards and four touchdowns. Colter, who missed Northwestern's 2013 season-finale with an injury sustained the week prior, twice recorded 100-plus receiving yards in a single game, including a career-best 131 vs. Indiana in 2012.

The two-year team co-captain and honorable mention All-Big Ten honoree also tore through opposing defenses with his running ability from under center, managing to rack up 2,180 rushing yards in his career in addition to his 2,160 passing yards (69.4 completion percentage, 139.0 passer efficiency rating).

Colter is the 24th Wildcat invited to play in the annual Senior Bowl, joining a list that includes NU greats such as LB Pat Fitzgerald, LB Barry Gardner, LB Napoleon Harris and RB Noah Herron.
