    • Northwestern has taken its first three games for the third time in the last four seasons and for the fourth time in the last six years.

    • Northwestern has scored at least 30 points in each of its first three games this season. It marks the first time the `Cats have tallied 30-plus points in each of their first three games to start a season since 1962 (37 vs. South Carolina; 45 vs. Illinois; 34 at Minnesota), the same year NU rose to a No. 1 national ranking.

    • In fact, the Wildcats have scored at least 30 points in the last five games they have played going back to last season. The five consecutive games with 30-plus points is the longest streak in school history.

    • The Wildcats have managed a 15-game home winning streak vs. nonconference opponents, dating back to Sept. 15, 2007. That mark is tied as the eighth-longest active streak among BCS teams.

    • At the Northwestern helm, Coach Pat Fitzgerald owns a 22-9 record in September, including a 13-1 slate in his last 14 September contests.

    • Fitzgerald is 8-0 against MAC foes in his career.

    • With a season-high 332 yards, NU has surpassed the 200-yard rushing mark for the 10th time in its last 14 games. The Wildcats last topped 300 rushing yards when it posted 338 vs. Illinois on Nov, 24, 2012.

    • Northwestern gained 6.0 yards per rushing attempt tonight, its best effort this season.

    • The 'Cats have been successful in all 16 trips to the red zone this season (5-of-5 tonight).

    • With S Ibraheim Campbell's interception tonight, Northwestern's defense now boasts 17 total interceptions over the last six games it has played. Over the past three weeks, the NU defense has eight pickoffs.

    • The defense, which allowed only 127.6 ypg rushing last season, has given up an average of 121.7 ypg on the ground so far this season in three games.

    • Northwestern has scored in double figures in 76 consecutive games and has passed 21 points in 17 straight contests. The last time NU did not score 21 was Nov. 26, 2011 against Michigan State.

    Northwestern Individual Notes

    • Northwestern had two 100-yard rushers (RB Treyvon Green: career-high 158 yards; QB Kain Colter 106 yards) for the first time since Colter gained 166 and RB Venric Mark had 162 vs. Iowa on Oct. 27, 2012.

    • In each of NU's three games this year, Green has scored two touchdowns. Of his six scores, five have been via the rush.

    • Green's 42-yard touchdown run is his career longest scoring run and the second longest in his career overall. He had a 55-yard non-scoring run against California this season. They are the longest TD and non-scoring runs of any Wildcat this season.

    • Green, who averaged 7.9 yards per carry tonight, leads NU with 117.7 ypg this season.
