    First Season at NU

    Noel left Northwestern in April 2013 to assume his duties as the defensive line coach at Stony Brook University.

    Rob Noel is in his first season as a defensive graduate assistant at Northwestern after joining the Wildcats program in May of 2012. Noel came to NU from Butler University, where he served for three seasons as the defensive line coach and assistant recruiting coordinator for his alma mater.

    A 2009 Butler graduate, Noel played both offensive guard and offensive tackle for the Bulldogs from 2005-08. He set a Butler record for most games played in his career with 44, including 29 straight to end his career. Noel earned All-League recognition as an offensive lineman and was a two-time Academic All-League honoree.

    Noel is a native of Westerville, Ohio, and prepped at Westerville North High School.
