    Chicagoland native will have three years of eligibility beginning this season

    Cody Cejda is in his sixth season at Northwestern and his fourth as the Director of Football Operations after being promoted prior to the 2011 season. He also is continuing in his role as NU's NFL liaison, assisting NFL personnel with their visits and helping student-athletes understand the transition to the NFL and other professional leagues.

    In his role at Northwestern, Cejda oversees the day-to-day operations and budget of the football program. His duties include coordinating team travel, bowl game preparations, training camp schedules, off-site events and team meals. He also operates as the football program's liaison to members of the Northwestern Athletics administrative staff as well as NU's marketing, athletic communications, academic services.

    Cejda's tenure as director of operations includes Northwestern's 10-win season in 2012, when the Wildcats claimed victory in the Gator Bowl and ended the year ranked No. 16 in the USA Today/Coaches poll and No. 17 in the AP.

    Prior to 2011, Cejda spent two years as coordinator of player development, coordinating student-athlete summer jobs and internships, community outreach and academic issues. He also played a major role in all day-to-day recruiting operations.

    Cejda served as a recruiting assistant and as the senior student manager for Michigan, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2007. Before joining Northwestern, Cejda worked as a consulting analyst for Accenture.
