    Northwestern Earns 97 Fall Academic All-Big Ten Awards to Break Own Mark Again

    Wildcats establish single-sport season high for the honor for the fifth-straight year

    2012: Once again appeared in all 13 games, primarily on special teams as the punt protector ... Recipient of NU's Thomas Airth Spirit Award, presented annually to the player whose spirit and enthusiasm have been an inspiration to teammates and fans throughout the season ... Recorded two rushes on offense in the fourth quarter of Senior Day win over Illinois ... Academic All-Big Ten.

    2011: Played in all 13 games as a reserve defensive lineman and on special teams ... Did not record any statistics ... Academic All-Big Ten.

    2010: Played against Illinois State ... Notched one tackle vs. the Redbirds ... Named team's defensive practice player of the week vs. Central Michigan.

    High School: Two-time all East Suburban Catholic Conference (ESCC) and two-time Academic All-State linebacker at Notre Dame High ...     A: My parents inspire me because they've both been through a lot but neither one has backed down in the face of adversity.
