    Swopshire Featured in This Week's Episode of The Journey

    EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern graduate student Jared Swopshire (St. Louis, Mo./IMG Academy/Louisville) is being featured in this week's episode of The Journey: Big Ten Basketball on Big Ten Network.

    The episode debuts at 8:30 p.m. Saturday and is set to re-air at 9:30 p.m. as well as on Sunday at 7 and 10 p.m.

    Swopshire is in his first season at Northwestern after spending the first four years of his collegiate career at Louisville where he earned his undergraduate degree and helped the Cardinals to the Final Four a year ago. He is currently pursuing his graduate degree in sports administration and is interning in the Northwestern Athletics marketing office this quarter.

    Swopshire has started all 23 of the Wildcats' games. He is averaging 9.7 points and team-leading 6.7 rebounds per game, including 12.2 points and 8.8 rebounds over the last five contests. He scored a career-high 22 points in a win over Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 15 and grabbed a career-best 16 rebounds at Nebraska Jan. 26.

    Northwestern (13-10, 4-6 Big Ten) returns to action at 3:30 p.m. Saturday when it travels to Iowa.
