EVANSTON, Ill. -
For the fourth season, Northwestern Athletics is continuing its series of Networking Night events in conjunction with men's basketball home games and the Northwestern Alumni Association. The first event of 2012 is scheduled for Feb. 9 as part of the Northwestern vs. Iowa men's basketball game.
This Wildfire Restaurant Networking Night is focused on Journalism and Media and will begin at 6 p.m. with tip-off of the game scheduled for 8 p.m. We are pleased to welcome ESPN.com Big Ten blogger Adam Rittenberg (J03), who will offer insight into the ways that journalism and media are changing.
The $25 registration fee includes both a game ticket and admission to the pregame reception. This year's event features a new location in the exclusive Stadium Club at Ryan Field. To register, click here.
Registrants take part in a pregame networking session complete with appetizers from Wildfire Restaurant and a speed networking activity. Additional successful journalism and media professionals also will be in attendance to meet, mingle and mentor. At tip-off, everyone moves into the Networking Section of the arena to continue conversation and watch the Wildcat basketball game.
The final Networking Night will be held on Feb. 21 in conjunction with the NU vs. Michigan game. This event features entrepreneurship and small businesses. It is being highlighted by guest speaker Saq Nadeem (Kellogg 05), the mind behind Paradise for Paws - a premium pet resort located near airports catering to traveling business people with pets.
