EVANSTON, Ill. -- The third season of Wildcat Fastbreak, the only show dedicated to Northwestern basketball, tips off tonight (Tuesday, Jan. 8) on Comcast SportsNet Chicago. Produced in high definition, the weekly show takes viewers behind the scenes and on the road with the Northwestern men's and women's basketball programs as they head towards the 2013 Big Ten basketball tournaments.

New this year, fans outside of the Comcast SportsNet Chicago viewing area will have the opportunity to watch Wildcat Fastbreak online. The show will be uploaded in its entirety to the official Northwestern Athletics YouTube channel each Wednesday after it debuts on TV. It will also be available later in the week on the BTN2GO service from Big Ten Network.

WGN Radio Sports Director Dave Eanet will again host the 10-episode show, which will run the course of the 2013 Big Ten basketball season. A broadcast schedule for the first two months of the season is listed below.

Tonight's season debut takes a look at the first week of conference play for the Wildcats, plus introduces fans to graduate student Jared Swopshire. The men's basketball trip over Thanksgiving weekend to the South Padre Island Invitational is also highlighted in the show.

Wildcat Fastbreak is produced as a partnership between Northwestern Athletics and the Medill School, and originates from Medill's McCormick Tribune Center Studio.
