  • With the win, Northwestern improves to 1-1 on the season. The Wildcats will be in action Friday night at Stanford at 9 p.m.

  • This is the fifth-straight time in the Northwestern-DePaul series that the home team has won. Northwestern is now 8-5 all-time against DePaul at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

  • Northwestern committed just five turnovers to 15 for DePaul. It marked the 37th time in the Bill Carmody era the 'Cats have recorded less than 10 turnovers in a game. They are 24-13 when doing so under Carmody.

  • Craig Moore scored seven of his team-high 10 points in the final 1:40 of the game. Moore was perfect from the free throw line (4-4).

  • Freshman Kevin Coble scored all nine of his points in the second half in only his second career start.

  • With the win, Northwestern picks up its ninth all-time win against DePaul. DePaul holds the all-time advantage 18-9.

  • Northwestern held DePaul to only three points off the bench.

  • Wilson Chandler scored in double figures for the second-straight game for the Blue Demons. His 11 points were a team-high.

  • Northwestern shot 57.9 percent from the field in the second half, up from 26.9 percent in the first half. DePaul shot 28 percent in the second half after shooting 40.9 percent in the first half.
