  • Northwestern has now won four of the last five meetings with Iowa. The last three in dramatic fashion with every game decided by three points or less.

  • The Wildcats are 4-0 this season in games decided by three points or less.

  • Head coach Bill Carmody has now knocked off a ranked opponent at least once in each of his six seasons as head coach. The win tonight against No. 18 Iowa was his eighth in his Wildcat tenure. He is 8-8 overall.

  • Bill Carmody is now 5-1 against Iowa at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

  • With five three-pointers (5-of-9) Vedran Vukusic tied Winston Blake (1999-2003) for second place on Northwestern's all-time three-point list with 200. He needs three to tie and four to break the all-time record for career makes of 203 held by Todd Leslie (1989-94).

  • Vukusic has now led the Wildcats in scoring 18 times this season, four away from tying the modern day record held by Evan Eschmeyer who led NU in scoring 22 times during the 1998-99 season.

  • After shooing just 23 percent (3-of-13) from three in the first half, Northwestern caught fire in the second, hitting 6-of-7 (.857) and 10-of-16 (.625) overall.

  • Vukusic has now made a team-high 80-consecutive starts dating to the start of the 2003-04 season. The record is 117 held by Jitim Young.

  • Vukusic has scored 20 or more points 13 times this season and tied a season-high with five three-pointers. He never left the floor, playing every minute for the sixth time this season. He also grabbed a season-high eight rebounds.

  • NU won for just the second time this season when trailing at the half.
