    Chris Quinn Named Director of Player Development

    Former Notre Dame standout played six seasons in the NBA

    Chris Quinn is in his second season at Northwestern as the staff's director of player development.

    A 2006 graduate of Notre Dame with a degree in marketing, Quinn was a three-year starter and a two-time co-captain for the Fighting Irish, earning a first-team All-Big East selection as a senior when he averaged 17.7 points and 6.4 assists per game. He was recognized three times as a member of the Big East Academic All-Star Team and was the recipient of the Big East Sportsmanship Award his senior year. His 1,454 career points rank 16th in school history while also ranking fifth in steals (155), sixth in 3-point field goal percentage (.417), seventh in 3-point field goals made (239) and eighth in assists (428).

    A native of Dublin, Ohio, Quinn went on to play six seasons in the NBA for the Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers, appearing in 241 career games from 2006-13. He averaged career bests of 7.8 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds for the Heat during the 2007-08 season. Quinn also played professionally for one season apiece for BC Khimki in Russia (helping the team to the Eurocup championship) and Valencia Basket in Spain as well as for the Tulsa 66ers in the NBA Development League.

    He and his wife, Lauren, have a son, Charlie, and a daughter, Lydia.
