EVANSTON, Ill. -
The new school year and Alumni Baseball Weekend are just around the corner. The fun-filled weekend includes, golf, a football game and the 19th alumni baseball game. The dates are September 23 - 25th, so mark these dates on your calendars and plan on joining us for what plans to be a great weekend.
The golf outing is in September this year and hopefully that will bring us beautiful weather. For the third-straight year, Wilmette Golf Course has graciously decided to be our host. With numerous changes to the course and a fully operational clubhouse, golf will be at it finest. The newly erected clubhouse looks absolutely beautiful and will add to our continued growth of what has turned into a fun-filled weekend along with a successful fund raising outing.
Hole Sponsorships: We are looking for growth in this area and would appreciate all of your help. A hole sponsorship is $300, and includes a sign on the tee box and special recognition at the outing and news letter. Please, sign up your company or yourself, get us the art work for the signs and we will take care of all the rest.
Foursomes: Get your group together and sign up early, the numbers have increased each year and we would not like to miss any of our friends. Cost is $1000 per group. However, if you are a recent graduate from Northwestern, we offer a registration fee of $200 per golfer (graduation years 2003-2005). Please sign up early and plan on the entire weekend.
This year's Alumni Baseball game will be the best one yet. We again will have our tailgate prior to and during our alumni game Sunday. The tailgate was received with great praise last year we hope to continue this each year. We are also planning on a "Jumping House" for the young ones while the alumni are out on the field of play. We are trying to show our appreciation to all the former players, but we need to know in advance so that we can have special acknowledgements for all of you. If you are thinking of joining us, please fill out the enclosed form and get it back to us. Also, if we get enough of the older, but wiser alums who would like to play, but not against the current wildcats, we will try and put together a small three-inning game (but again we will need a quick response for a number count).
Thanks for your continued support of the NU Baseball program. We cannot achieve our goals and make this a memorable experience for the players without your help and support.
