EVANSTON, Ill. -- Persistent rains throughout the overnight and into the day on Sunday have forced the cancellation of Sunday's series finale between Northwestern and Michigan at Rocky Miller Park.

The Wildcats won the two games of the series, taking Friday's contest 7-1 and Saturday's meeting 11-6.

Northwestern (19-27, 9-11 Big Ten) returns to action on Thursday at Michigan State.
