EVANSTON, Ill. -- A threat of yet another steady rainfall in the Chicagoland area on Tuesday afternoon has forced the cancellation of the scheduled baseball game between Northwestern and Northern Illinois. No make-up date has been determined as of yet.

Tuesday's scheduled contest marks the 11th game this season that the 'Cats have been adversely effected by the challenging spring weather.

The Wildcats will hit the road for the first time since April 7 on Wednesday afternoon when they make the trip north on Interstate 94 to Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wis. Northwestern will face the Milwaukee Panthers at the home of Major League Baseball's Milwaukee Brewers at 4:05 p.m. This is the third trip to Miller Park for head coach Paul Stevens and the Wildcats. Admission is free and the game will be televised in Wisconsin on Time Warner SportsChannel Wisconsin.

Left-handed freshman Reed Mason is slated to make the start on the hill for Northwestern. He'll be opposed by a fellow southpaw, UWM's Tyler Thicke.
