EVANSTON, Ill. -- The threat of steady rain in the Chicagoland area on Wednesday afternoon has forced the postponement of the scheduled baseball game between Northwestern and Western Michigan. The game will now be played on Wednesday, May 1 at 3 p.m. at Rocky Miller Park.

Wednesday's contest marks the 10th game this season that the 'Cats have been adversely effected by the challenging spring weather.

The Wildcats will return to action Friday afternoon, April 19, at Rocky Miller Park when they host the Michigan Wolverines in the first of a three-game set. On Saturday, April 20, the two teams will travel a few miles south to play a game under the lights at historic Wrigley Field. Tickets are still available for the showdown at the Friendly Confines by calling 888-GO-PURPLE (467-8775) or online by clicking here.
