    EVANSTON, Ill. -- Tuesday's scheduled nonconference game between the Northwestern Wildcats and Valparaiso Crusaders has been canceled. The teams were to meet at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood, Ill., however with rain overnight and more in the forecast, the field is unplayable this evening.

    Northwestern will return to its Big Ten slate Friday, April 12 when the Minnesota Golden Gophers come calling for a three-game series at Rocky Miller Park. In the opener, NU's Zach Morton will start the game on the mound for the Wildcats opposed by Minnesota's Tom Windle. Friday's first pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. Games two and three will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

    Tickets are on sale now for Northwestern's game at Wrigley Field on Saturday, April 20. The 'Cats will take on Michigan in less then two weeks at the Friendly Confines with the first pitch set for 6:05 p.m. To purchase tickets, call 888-GO-PURPLE (467-8775) or click here!
