The event will be held May 21-25 at beautiful TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb.

The eight teams that qualify for a trip to Omaha will be seeded one-through-eight and placed in two brackets; No. 1, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 8 will be on one side of the bracket with No. 2, No. 3, No. 6 and No. 7 opposite. The format is as follows: four games will be held on both Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22 and two more set for Friday, May 23; Saturday, May 24 will feature the winners of each bracket facing the remaining one-loss team from the opposite side in the semifinals; the championship will be contested on Sunday, May 25. The winner of the Big Ten Tournament receives the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Championship. This year's facility, TD Ameritrade Park, is also the annual home of the College World Series (June 14-25).

The full bracket for the 2014 Big Ten Tournament is available at the top of the page. Specific games times and television designations will be available at a later date.

The Big Ten Tournament began as a four-team event in 1981 and remained unchanged until 2000 when the field was expanded to six squads.

Northwestern's 2014 season opens on Friday, Feb. 14 when the Wildcats hit the West Coast to take on the USC Trojans in a three-game series. After a challenging nonconference open, the 'Cats begin Big Ten play, and the home portion of their schedule at Rocky Miller Park, on Friday, March 21 against the Minnesota Golden Gophers at 3 p.m. CT.
