    Baseball Falls 12-3 at Central Florida

    EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Central Florida Knights used four runs in the first inning and three in the second inning to take a 12-3 victory over Northwestern on Saturday night in Orlando, Fla. UCF improved to 20-9 on the season while NU drops to 8-4.

    J.P. Williamson went 2-for-3 with a double, run and RBI for the Wildcats while Ollie Dunn added a 2-for-4 effort. Patrick Thompson, Mike Stritch and Joe Hietpas knocked doubles in the losing cause. Chris Hargan dropped to 1-1 on the season, allowing eight hits and seven runs in the first three innings. Dan Padgett pitched the final five innings, allowing four earned runs on eight hits.

    The two teams will meet again on Saturday afternoon. Junior Nick Franzese is scheduled to be on the hill for the Wildcats.
