    BRADENTON, Fla. - Northwestern's baseball team dropped their spring break opener 10-3 to Army at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. A pair of five-run innings downed NU as the Black Knights took advantage of four errors in the third inning for its first five-spot. Junior slugger Antonio Mule went 3-for-4, including his first home run of the season. NU is next in action when they take on Massachusetts at 3 p.m. (ET) at IMG.

    NU took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the third when a one-out walk came around to score. Shortstop Tommy Finn (Valparaiso, Ind./Andrean) scored on Aaron Newman's (Palatine, Ill./Palatine) single to centerfield.

    Starting pitcher Ryan Myers (Lake Villa, Ill./Carmel) fell victim to infield errors-four to exact-in the bottom of the third inning. Army plated five runs (all unearned) in the inning. They did have three hits in the inning. Myers falls to 1-1 on the year, striking out six in the process.

    New Jersey junior Antonio Mule (Lodi, N.J./Lodi) was NU's lone offensive threat, ending his day 3-for-4, which included a pair of singles and a mammoth home run to right field. He recorded two RBI upping his team-leading total to nine.

    Sophomore Matt Havey (Wilmette, Ill./Loyola) did a great job out of the pen. He relieved Myers in the fifth inning and pitched two and one-third innings of one-hit, no-run baseball. He struck out three.

    Classmate Eric Binder (Burr Ridge, Ill./Hinsdale Central) pitched a scoreless eighth inning.
