    LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville opened the game with a four-run first inning and never looked back, winning game one of Friday's doubleheader 11-0 at Jim Patterson Field in Louisville, Ky. Junior George Kontos (Lincolnwood, Ill./Niles West) started on the mound for the Wildcats and lasted just four innings, falling to 0-2 on the season.

    The Cardinals scored five runs in the first two innings, including a bases-loaded steal of home in the second inning.

    U-of-L added two more runs in the fourth inning and three more in fifth. A single run in the eighth made the final score 11-0.

    NU managed just four hits in the game and got a runner to third base just one time. Senior Stanley Finch (Lubbock, Texas/Cooper) hit his first double of the season in the seventh inning.

    Four different freshmen pitchers made their collegiate debut following Kontos. Brian Morgan (Eden Prarie, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's), Mike Folan (Arlington Heights, Ill./St. Viator), Eric Binder (Burr Ridge, Ill./HinsdaleCentral) and Matt Havey (Wilmette, Ill./Loyola) all pitched one complete inning.

    NU and Louisville play game two of Friday's doubleheader 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
