Charity Stripe and Sacks for Soldiers

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

Evanston Subaru in Skokie will donate $100 to the Project Hero every time the Northwestern Football team sacks the opposing team’s quarterback and $10 for every free-throw made by the Men’s Basketball team, during the 2019-2020 seasons.

Evanston Subaru in Skokie and their co-owners Rob Paddor and Bill Snowden are avid supporters of Project Hero’s mission. Mr. Paddor is a member of the Board of Directors of the Project Hero. Over the years their Skokie dealership has helped raise thousands-of-dollars through numerous events to benefit Project Hero.

Every 65 minutes, a military veteran commits suicide; according to a new investigation by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This means that the suicide rate among Vets and Active Duty Military has jumped to 22 per day. Project Hero is helping Veterans beat these odds.

Project Hero is a groundbreaking national non-profit dedicated to Veterans and First Responders affected by PTSD. By using cycling as an alternative therapy in rehabilitation, Project Hero is producing positive outcomes at lower costs and reducing drug-based therapies.

Project Hero has helped tens of thousands of our Healing Heroes at no cost to participants through Ride 2 Recovery cycling events, community-based programs in more than 50 cities throughout the US, and by supporting research.

We ask those within the Wildcat Nation to donate to the Servicemen and Servicewomen who give us freedom.
