Steketee Finalizes Swimming and Diving Class of 2020

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern head women's swimming and diving coach Abby Steketee has completed her first recruiting class with the addition of seven student-athletes as a part of the Class of 2020.

"Our staff looked all over the world for just the right people and is thrilled to welcome Nicole, Irune, Sandra, Valerie, Malorie, Emma, and Krystal to the Wildcat Family," Steketee said. "Each of these young ladies brings something unique to the team, but all seven are hard workers passionate about swimming and committed to academics."

High School: Convent of the Sacred Heart | Club: Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics (AGUA)

Bio: 100 back record holder at Convent of the Sacred Heart ... Coached by Warren Perry ... Two-time MVP in 2014 and 2015 ... Two-time AAIS All-Star in 2014 and 2015 ... High school was conference champions in 2015 ... Competed for two years with Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics ... Swam on the same team as fellow signee Krystal Lara ... 100 back record holder for her club team ... Scholastic All-American in 2014 and 2015 ... Won the Rensselaer Medal for excellence in science and math ...
