EVANSTON, Ill. – The incredible talents of Northwestern's student-athletes will be on full display during the sixth annual Student-Athlete Talent Show in Cahn Auditorium on Monday, March 7.

The event is open to the public and admission is just $3. All proceeds will go toward Dance Marathon's beneficiary, "Blessings in a Backpack."

"The student-athlete talent show is a great event that allows our community to come together and showcase our talents different from our sport," the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.), the event's sponsor, said. "More importantly, though, it represents the opportunity for us to connect with the larger Northwestern student-body and support this year's Dance Marathon beneficiary.

"We look forward to this event every year because it allows us to further our relationships and outreach to the community, an aspect every Wildcat is proudly devoted to from the minute they step on campus."

Those in attendance can expect a full range of performances from student-athletes spanning Northwestern's 19 varsity programs.

Two members of S.A.A.C., Spring Sanders and Austin Carr, will emcee the event.

"I am so excited to be involved in the student-athlete talent show," Sanders, a human development and psych services major and senior captain on the lacrosse team, said. "It is such an incredible opportunity to see the talents that are hiding in our community, but it is even more exciting to come together for an awesome cause."

"To perform in the Student-Athlete Talent Show once again is an honor and that it benefits such a great cause makes it even more worth everyone's time," Carr, a philosophy major and business institutions program minor and wide receiver on the football team, said. "Judging how the talent, creativity and passion has improved in the show each of the past three years, I could not be more excited to emcee alongside Spring.

"From what I have heard, the talent is not only going to rock socks off but also bring tears of joy and gut-busting laughter to all in attendance. Brings your friends. Bring your family. Even bring that person who loves dates on Mondays!"
