EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern senior Isabel Flens is the Big Ten Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week the Conference office announced Tuesday. It is the second such honor of Flens' career after also earning the recognition on Oct. 1, 2013.

This is the third straight week than an NU player has been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week following Eva van Agt (Sept. 20) and Pascale Massey (Sept. 27).

Flens scored five goals in leading the Wildcats to a pair of convincing road wins last weekend. In Friday's 5-3 win at Rutgers, Flens scored on both of her shots in helping NU retain sole possession of first place in the Big Ten standings. In Sunday's 7-2 victory at Drexel, she helped Northwestern get off on the right foot by tallying a hat trick in the first nine minutes of the contest.

Flens ranks first on the team and second in the Big Ten with 12 goals this season. She also paces the Wildcats with 30 points.

Northwestern (10-2, 4-0 B1G) has won eight straight contests and is ranked No. 6 in this week's Penn Monto/NFHCA Poll. The Wildcats hit the road again this weekend, playing at Indiana at 2 p.m. Central time Friday and at Louisville at noon Central on Sunday.
