Daley, Jess

Jess Daley
- Induction:
- 2017
- Class:
- 2000
A two-time first-team All-Big Ten selection and a first-team All-American in 2000, Jess Daley is one of four Wildcats in program history to earn first-team
All-America honors and the lone member of that group not yet in NU’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
His 70.98 scoring average from his All-America season of 1999-2000 remains the fifth-best in program history. During that senior year, Daley won both the Kepler Intercollegiate and the Spartan Invitational. He still holds the Northwestern single-round scoring record with a 62 fired during the 2000 Compaq US Collegiate.
He finished second in the Big Ten Player of the Year voting that season to his
teammate Luke Donald.
Daley was in the team lineup for NU’s Big Ten Championships in 1999 and 2000, the program’s first conference crowns since 1948. He played in three-straight NCAA Championships from 1998-2000, helping NU finish third in 1999 and leading the Wildcats to an eighth-place finish in 2000 when he was a team-best third place.
Following his graduation, Daley went on to play the PGA Tour and Web.com Tour and is now retired from professional golf.
