Northwestern graduates Steve and Sue Wilson have demonstrated extraordinary loyalty to the University through their leadership philanthropy, including significant gifts for the new lakefront athletics facilities and the Welsh-Ryan Arena renovation. In recognition of their incredible support, Wilson Field, which will be located inside Ryan Fieldhouse, and the Wilson Club, located inside Welsh-Ryan Arena, will be named after the Wilsons.

Both Steve and Sue graduated from Northwestern in 1970, and Steve earned an MBA from Kellogg in 1974. He applied his learnings as he built CF Industries Holdings, Inc. into a global leader in fertilizer manufacturing and distribution, having served 10 years as CEO. He is a Northwestern trustee and chairman of the Athletics & Recreation campaign committee.

After graduating from Northwestern in journalism, Sue had an eight-year public relations career from which she retired to focus on raising their children, Elizabeth and Jeffrey.  She currently serves on the board of advisors of the Block Museum of Art at Northwestern, is a member of the Women’s Board of Northwestern and is on the Community Council of Y.O.U., a youth development agency in Evanston.
