Zach Schwan officially joined Northwestern Athletics in June 2011 as an account executive after serving as a marketing assistant for a year prior. As an account executive his main responsibilities include handling season ticket and group sales, as well as, providing a high level of customer service to all Northwestern fans. Schwan, a native of Ithaca, N.Y., is also responsible for providing marketing materials for youth and company outings, and for working with The Chicago Youth Football League (TCYFL), the largest youth football organization/league in the country. Prior to his time in Chicago, Schwan was the Northeast regional manager for Health Solutions Services in Boston, Mass., leading his team of 15 people in creating and organizing the marketing and promotional plans for health fairs and screenings in the northeast region. Beginning in 2010, Schwan filled numerous volunteer positions with collegiate and professional teams throughout Chicagoland, including acting as the fan services representative for the Chicago Bears, a street team member of the Chicago Blackhawks, a volunteer for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at the United Center, and acting as the vice president for Northern Illinois University Grad Sport Society all while earning his master's degree in sport management from Northern Illinois University in May 2011. Schwan received his bachelor's degree from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., where he was a member of the Golden Knights' Division I hockey program. In 2009, Schwan, an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, completed the Athens Marathon in Athens, Greece. Schwan, and his brother Jake, are the proud sons of Steve and Jane Schwan.
