Walter Paulison

Contemporary Era: 1984 Charter Inductee

Walter M. Paulison served as Northwestern's Sports Information Director for 43 years from 1926 to 1969. His lasting contribution to the Northwestern Athletic Department is his book, "Tale of the Wildcats," the story of NU athletics through 1950, which was published in 1951 during the 100th anniversary celebration of the founding of Northwestern University. Paulison is a member of the Helms Foundation Hall of Fame and the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Hall of Fame. The pressbox at Ryan Field is named after him.
