Michelle Jorwic joined Northwestern April 2011 as an academic advisor in the academic services department. Along with serving as an advisor, Jorwic is the director of study skills and the director of the N`CAT Tutor Program at Northwestern. An Elmhurst, Ill., native, Jorwic attended Carthage College, earning an undergraduate degree in communication and digital media, and a Master's of education in educational leadership. Prior to coming to Northwestern, Jorwic held roles in Carthage College's office of student life and in the athletic department as the associate director of student-athlete services. She also worked as an NCAA intern in student-athlete affairs. During her undergraduate time at Carthage, Jorwic played soccer for the Lady Reds and served on the NCAA Division III National Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
