Rickey Jackson is in his first year at Northwestern University in the role of Assistant Director of Sports Performance. Jackson works primarily with football, women's basketball and swimming and diving.
Jackson was the strength and conditioning intern at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., during the spring of 2011. While at the Olympic Training Center, Jackson worked with athletes from various sports including track & field, BMX, and Paralympic soccer. Jackson has served as a strength and conditioning graduate student assistant at James Madison University (JMU). Prior to JMU, Jackson was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Howard University where he also played defensive back from 2003-07 on the Howard Bison football team and graduated with a B.S. in physical education. After his final season at Howard, Jackson was invited to a tryout with the Washington Redskins. Jackson is a recent graduate of the Exercise Physiology Master's Program at JMU and is from Colorado Springs, Colo.
Jackson holds a certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
