    Aaron Hosmon Named Assistant AD For Compliance

    Two-time Northwestern graduate joined NU Athletics in late 2007

    Aaron Hosmon was promoted to assistant athletic director for compliance in February of 2013 after being elevated to director of compliance in January 2009. Prior to that, he served as Northwestern's assistant director of compliance for one year after joining NU in late 2007. Hosmon's current duties include providing NCAA, Big Ten and institutional rules interpretations to Northwestern's staff, coaches and student-athletes, and extend to serving as the departmental liaison to NU's financial aid and student account offices. Hosmon also administers the National Letter of Intent Program for Northwestern.

    A native of Evansville, Ind., Hosmon has previous experience in the Northwestern community. He served as the coordinator of financial aid for entering students in the university's Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid before accepting a role as the assistant director of the College Sports Project in the Center for Data Collection and Analysis in Evanston until December 2007. During that period, Hosmon earned his Master's degree in higher education and policy from Northwestern's School of Education and Social Policy.

    During his four years as an undergraduate at Northwestern, Hosmon was a student athletic trainer for men's basketball, football, men's and women's soccer and field hockey, before serving as a student manager for the men's basketball team. Hosmon is a USSF-certified soccer referee and a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance.
