    Steve Green, deputy director of athletics for internal affairs, joined Northwestern in July of 1995 as associate A.D. for finance and personnel. Green currently serves as chief financial officer and as a member of the athletic department's executive staff. In this capacity, he assists in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and strategies for short term and long-term planning. Green also directs oversight and supervision of athletic business office, information technology, and human resources, and serves as the sport administrator for baseball, football, and softball. Green also sits as a member on the board of the university's insurance company.

    Prior to coming to Northwestern, Green was the senior associate director of athletics at the University of Cincinnati from 1989 to 1995. Before his tenure at Cincinnati, Green held the title of assistant director of athletics at his alma mater, Boston University after he graduated with his MBA in 1974.

    In 1984 Green served as President of the College Athletic Business Management Association. That same year he was also selected as the Business Manager of the Year.

    A Randolph, Mass., native, Green is the former secretary treasurer of the Yankee Conference and the former secretary treasurer of the Greater Boston Collegiate Athletic Association.
