Steve Green Position: Deputy Director of Athletics Alma Mater: Boston University

Steve Green is in his 17th year at Northwestern, currently as the deputy director of athletics. Green serves as chief financial officer and as a member of the athletic department's executive staff. In this capacity he assists in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and strategies for short term and long-term planning. Green also directs oversight and supervision of athletic business office, information technology, and human resources, and serves as the sport administrator for baseball, football, and softball. Green also sits as a member on the board of the university's insurance company.

Prior to coming to Northwestern, Green was the senior associate director of athletics at the University of Cincinnati from 1989 to 1995. Before his tenure at Cincinnati, Green held the title of assistant director of athletics at his alma mater, Boston University after he graduated with his MBA in 1974.

A Randolph, Mass., native, Green is the former secretary treasurer of the Yankee Conference and the former secretary treasurer of the Greater Boston Collegiate Athletic Association.
