    1998 Inductee

Golden was a three-year letterwinner for the Northwestern tennis team, participating during one of the most prosperous periods in the program's history. Golden helped lead NU to conference championships in each of his three years. In 1948, he took the conference title at No. 5 singles, also teaming with Marvin Beskin to win the No. 2 doubles championship. As a senior two years later, Golden won both championships again, claiming both the No. 1 conference singles and doubles crowns. His efforts earned him All-America honors in 1950. Golden also won the National Clay Courts championship and represented the United States in the Davis Cup.
