    1984 Charter Inductee

In 1958, Burton was named an All-America halfback and was second in the Big Ten in scoring, first in receiving, fourth in rushing and third in punt returns. Burton was a first-round draft choice in both the AFL and NFL drafts, and played halfback for the Boston Patriots. A tremendous contributor to Northwestern and its athletics program, the Academic Advising Center in Anderson Hall is named after Burton.
