EVANSTON, Ill. – The Northwestern Sports Performance Department invites fans of all ages to train like a Wildcat at the inaugural Family Fitness Day on May 10. From 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., participants will have the opportunity to learn healthy nutrition, training tips and much more from members of the NU Sports Performance staff.

Family Fitness Day takes place at the NU Sports Performance Weight Room on 2701 Ashland Ave. in Evanston. The event is FREE with the donation of a lightly used piece of sports equipment, which will then be donated to a local school. There also will be a free catered lunch for participants to follow at 1 p.m.

After you learn healthy tips from the NU Sports Performance staff, be sure to stick around to watch the Wildcats baseball team take on SIUE at 1 p.m. at Rocky Miller Park and watch the Big Ten Women’s Softball Tournament, which takes place at Sharon J. Drysdale Field all day on May 10. Both fields are within walking distance from the NU Sports Performance Weight Room.
